Omnitrol Networks Appoints Timothy Nolan as Vice President of Sales

Timothy Nolan, a networking industry veteran, joins Omnitrol to lead the next expansion phase of the Mountain View company.

Mountain ViewCA2/21/2007 – Omnitrol Networks, Inc. today strengthened its senior management team, appointing Timothy Nolan as vice president of worldwide sales. The position reports directly to Raj Saksena, president and chief executive officer.

A seasoned high tech executive, Tim is now responsible for Omnitrol Networks' sales organization, designed to partner with customers to help them build the operational intelligence required to bridge the chasm between their enterprise applications and the business operations floor.

"Omnitrol's disruptive approach to operational intelligence as an edge application network is changing the way companies look at enhancing business services by extending their IP networks towards real-time intelligent sensors, RFID and WiFi networks. This is something Extreme Networks and Cisco Systems have been trying to do for sometime now," Tim Nolan observed.

Tim's background includes senior level positions in sales, service, and business development with his foundational start in manufacturing and new product introduction. Prior to joining Omnitrol Networks, Tim was the vice president of business development for Extreme Networks responsible for strategy and execution of their corporate technology partnerships, licensing, OEM's, merger and acquisitions. He was responsible for the successful turnaround of Extreme Networks' service business. Under his leadership, the Customer Advocacy group doubled service revenue, increased customer satisfaction, and achieved a 6,000 basis point improvement in service gross margins.

Prior to joining Extreme Networks, Tim was a 12 year veteran at Cisco Systems where he held a variety of leadership roles in services, sales, marketing, and operations. The beginning of his Cisco tenure involved operational experience in new product program management within the Cisco Manufacturing Operations group. Tim holds an MBA in Management from Gonzaga University. He received his undergraduate degrees in Biology and Business from the University of Portland, Oregon.
