System Test QA Manager - QI312

Key Responsibilities:

  • The candidate will lead the Omnitrol system test team to ensure the quality of the OMNITROL sensor network systems
  • The ideal candidate will become an industry expert in the integration and deployment of RFID, Wireless and PLC devices in delivering business process automation and real-time operational visibility to end-users
  • The candidate will be accountable for the development of release Test Plan and the post-implementation report. Track the execution of the release testing schedule. Responsible for the release defect management and reports release defect information. Guides through resolution and calls attention to priority issues
  • The candidate will be responsible for preparing the final go/no go release recommendation. Serve as an escalation path for QA Production Support activities
  • The candidate will review requirements and specification to identify potential risks to quality, identify ambiguities or omissions, and ensure testability. Work with project team to recommend and implement steps to mitigate identified risks
  • The candidate will design, document and execute test procedures. Run and maintain test environment and coordinate with development team to drive product quality
  • The candidate will oversee and manage the User acceptance testing in line with the shop-floor operational requirements in order to ensure effective and efficient testing to meet the agreed business and project objectives
  • The candidate will produce the systems test Strategy, test plan and test scripts, with input from customers, sales engineering and product management
  • To shape and agree the "approach to testing" for each system prioritizing on areas of quality customer service, customer satisfaction, operational aspects and compliance to prevent both expensive and time consuming over testing or the risk of failure through under testing
  • To produce the systems Test reports to for systems status and to provide input to Systems Improvement activities
  • Mentors less experienced Team Players on QA best practices and methodology

Requirements:

  • Minimum ten (10) years in managing and supporting a full-product system test environment for enterprise software and network services
  • Must have working knowledge of shop-floor operations environment and in the various business processes associated with warehouse and manufacturing operations
  • Must have a proven track record in IT with experience in a leadership position within a Test team that has deployed mission-critical products
  • Knowledge of practices and procedures related to the development, test, and implementation of products in production environments
  • Be able to work closely with development, field engineering and product management staff to formulate Test Plans and take ownership of the entire test process
  • Must have the ability to learn about RFID, Real-Time Location in asset tracking and traceability applications integrating new sensor and wireless technologies
  • The candidate must have an understanding of various technologies, relational database principles, client/server infrastructure, and n-tier architecture concepts. Knowledge of Informix, Oracle, Web and Middle tier testing
  • The candidate must have an entrepreneurial attitude with high energy, drive, passion, excellent people skills and the reputation for making things happen
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Must have strong interpersonal and leadership skills with problem analysis and resolution skills
  • Be able to work under minimum supervision
  • Proficient on Microsoft Office suite
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or IT
